Three week old Irish Setter puppies |
We have litters spaced about 18 months apart. You may fill out a puppy questionnaire at any time to be added to our "puppy list." We will also refer you to reputable breeders or rescue should you be unable to wait for a puppy or adult dog from us.
Prior to breeding a litter we spend a great deal of time researching pedigrees in order to select the sire that best compliments the dam we are breeding. We choose to breed select bitches we wish to go forward with based on performance in the breed/obedience/and rally rings, gentle temperment and trainability, and health screening results. We believe in breeding our best individuals, not all individuals.
Results of health screening tests are in the OFA, CHIC, CERF, and ISGR databases (OFA also records results from these other canine health databases). Please see information on www.offa.org on searing OFA results and guidelines for puppy buyers.
If you are interested in a puppy contact us and we will send you a puppy questionaire. The questionnaire has no right or wrong answers. It is designed to help us get to know you and what type of dog you are looking for. You are welcome to contact us about arranging a visit, or with questions about Irish Setters.
